Description: Porzioni di territorio su cui sono state eseguite specifiche opere di difesa, distinte in - opere di difesa attiva, realizzate in corrispondenza delle zone di distacco con la funzione di impedire o limitare lo sviluppo della valanga: ponti, rastrelliere, reti; - opere di difesa passiva, svolgono la funzione di modificare le modalità di scorrimento o l’arresto delle masse nevose in movimento: argini di deviazione, cunei deviatori, dighe di intercettazione, cunei frenanti, gallerie paravalanghe; - opere di difesa preventiva, installazioni di tipo permanente aventi la funzione di provocare artificialmente il distacco delle valanghe nei modi e nei tempi definiti da un preciso piano di distacco, preventivamente definito e approvato, in modo da limitare sul territorio gli effetti del movimento della massa nevosa: ad esempio CATEX, GAZEX, AVALHEX.
