Description: I siti valanghivi in viola derivano da rilevamento sul terreno, interviste alla popolazione locale e ricerche negli archivi storici -parrocchiali, monografie, editoriali locali, etc-; quelli rossi sono stati desunti da studio di foto aeree, verificati successivamente con l'Archivio Storico Topografico Valanghe di CF Capello e con mirati sopralluoghi nei casi dubbi o in corrispondenza di siti valanghivi prossimi a contesti urbani, sportivi - piste e impianti- e viabilità. In entrambe le modalità di acquisizione del dato i limiti sono riportati nella loro estensione massima nota alla data di redazione / aggiornamento della carta.Sono tutti dotati di schede descrittive che riportano informazioni di tipo topografico, i danni accertati e potenziali, la data di eventi noti, i documenti storici e le immagini che sono state raccolte durante i sopralluoghi, ovvero tutto quanto di documentale è presente negli archivi dell'Ente che l'ha prodotta. Tali schede sono oggi consultabili attraverso il servizio solo per le aree mappate da ARPA Piemonte; per quanto riguarda i dati di proprietà delle Provincai di Cuneo il processo di integrazione nel SIVA è in fase di realizzazione e sarà disponibile nei prossimi aggiornamenti. La scala di utilizzo consigliata è 1:25.000.
